Myanmar significant hotel Kandawgyi palace was on fire last night
The midnight electric shock has burnt down famous Kandawgyi Palace Hotel in Yangon for nearly 4 hours starting from 3:30 am today.
Hundred members of fire brigade, police force and army were trying to extinguish the fire that engulfed almost 100% of the property.
The beautiful hotel is famous for its traditional architecture and serene location on the bank of Kandawgyi Lake.
It belongs to Htoo Group of Companies being run by U Tayza, one of top tycoons in Myanmar.
It’s regarded as the biggest fire outbreak in Yangon after Mingalar Market fire outbreak in 2016.
